Kioti manual transmission lb2204
There's some wear internal to the valve inside the steering so there's slop in it. This makes it so the shoulder bolt that runs the sleeve up and down the shaft here runs into the end of its slot before it can open the valve in that direction.
I was unable to figure out how to disassemble this valve to try and do a repair, so I had two options left. I opted for Option 2. Dec 22, Thread Starter 6. Okay, so I finally made some headway on this.
I didn't recognize it before because they have it displayed from the back side of the unit for some reason, and I hadn't seen it from that angle until I had it off the machine and dismantled it.
The part in question here that I think might be the problem is the Flow Divider Assembly the piece I have in my hand in the above photo. I haven't been able to make heads or tails of whether it's malfunctioning. As I said earlier, I didn't figure out a way to disassemble it, although they do show the two ported sections there as separate pieces in the parts breakdown. At any rate, this thing moves up and down if you push the spool back and forth manually, so I'm not sure there's an issue.
Now that I have a part number to search, I found that they used this same Flow Divider in several of the B and M-series Kubota tractors. Many of those tractors apparently had this same problem as well. On one of the threads I read, one of the commenters claiming to be a former Kubota mechanic said "There was a bulletin on this problem and a kit to repair it a few years ago.
I don't work at a dealership anymore so I don't have access to the bulletin. It shouldn't be very hard to come up with the fittings to do it yourself. Can anyone here speak to whether this is sound advice?
This auction is for a Factory Service Manual in pdf format to study it on your PC or just print out the particular page or chapter you are working on. And not to worry about getting it dirty and oily. Acrobat Reader is also included.
As you'll need it to view those files. Farm Tractor Lubrication Guide covers old and new U. Part SW00 English. Issued January. Over pages. Chapters Include: 1. General, 2. Engine Systems, 3. The pistons look like they were cast from the same mold. They are absolutely identical to the originals. As I said above, this is great news for both these early Kioti tractor and Kubota L owners because it gives a cross reference that allows a broader pool of cores to be used for things like engine blocks and cranks, and guys needing to re-sleeve and overhaul LB engines can just get the Kubota parts.
Those L engines are unicorns and very expensive to get cranks and blocks for. The market for Kubota parts reminds me of old Mopar stuff.
I hope this helps some people get their tractors running again. Nov 29, Thread Starter Another update. I finished engine assembly and put the tractor together just enough to drive it around. Didn't want to put the finishing touches on it in case it had to be taken back apart again.
It's not making oil now so looks like the unburned fuel on the dead cylinder theory was the correct one. My biggest problem right now is getting it up to full operating temp because it's cold enough outside that the water temp only gets up to about by my hand held laser thermometer.
This is after about 20 minutes of running up and down the hill in my back yard in high gear. I think I'll have to block off the radiator to properly break this thing in. Next on the list of repairs needed are: 1. Power steering - I think this may be working somewhat, but it's really weak. I've done some research and it may just need some more flow from the proportioning valve. Front axle - When I hard turn I get a sound from the front left wheel that sounds almost like a tire rubbing.
I'm assuming it's a bad bearing somewhere in the gear train. Previous owner said this was a problem with something internal to the housing. It should be something simple because the lift otherwise works fine. Probably a spring loaded friction surface of some kind I'm thinking. Loader bucket - The bucked has an added piece of steel in the back to give it a radius rather than a squared off shape.
I'm assuming to help release soil that's in it. That piece rusted so I'll be needing to weld in a patch. Lights - No lights on this thing. Have your order number and invoice number if different ready.
