Civ 3 vista error

I hit play but nothing happens. I tried the compatability to XP3 -- but nothing. If anyone out there can help that would be great. Last edited by Zeenomorph ; 2 Sep, pm. Bump for still having the same damn problem.

Having same problem, can't find a fix for it. I even spent a couple of days and like 20 emails with the officail game support. They did not help at all. Told me to do a bunch of useless stuff like start the computer with nothing else running. So mouse software or keyboard software. I still didn't work, but even if it did -- isn't that too much of a hit?

They were totally useless. Same problem here as well. Walker [29th Ret. Enable All Cookies Privacy Policy. Installed okay on new Thinkpad with Windows 7, but froze up on first run at civilization selection. Then would not start at all.

On removing the program, the uninstall process removed my fingerprint reader drivers. The game runs fine, and the graphics are good during the gameplay. However, when you go the Advisors menu, the colour graphics are off. Is there a patch out to fix this problem, if so how do I get it? I had this game running fine under xp on my old machine, got a new one running Vista with a shed load of memory 3Gb Ram, GN Hd, Quad core processor and a great graphics card xfx geforce gt and got to the date from an early start date about a months solid gameplay and it just stopped working during automated unit movement!!!

Apparently Windows will notify me when a solution is found Yeah Right!!!!!! The only problem was that once I get on to the main menu of the game, I try to click on "new game", "quick start", or "Tutorial", but for some odd reason, it doesnt send me to the next menu. All it does is let me click it several times. Thanks so much to Darb05 for posting this information in the discussion forums. Program Files x86 is the first and main problem. Even just in Program Files is just as bad. Civ 3 likes to put the files its Programme Files aera. Win Vista,7, 8,8. They all have a very different programme path than old civ games. I just put Civ 3 where Windows don't care.

I suppose you could just Cut and paste I cant open the editor can someone give some advice? Commitment 1 Sep, am. I keep getting script errors. I use Windows 8. Lady Bear 26 Jun, pm. I'm having a problem finding this on my computer outside of Steam.
